Graduation Augmentations

Listening to the MJ Morning Show, I'm hearing that breast augmentations (hereinafter "boob jobs") are becoming very popular high school graduation presents

I know a girl who got breast implants for her graduation gift. She was a hooters hostess (2 years ago) and apparently if she got them she'd be able to become a waitress. She was the valedictorian, prom queen, homecoming queen, cheerleading captain, etc etc. I don't see how she could possibly have self esteem issues, but that was the reason she gave.

I really don't think I'd let my daughter work at Hooters to begin with. I'm sure she could find a halfway decent job somewhere else.

Personally, I really wanted a boob job for my graduation present, but I guess I can be happy with the cool stuff Melody got for me :)

i know a girl who is getting a tummy tuck for her graduation. i don't know why people are so obsessed with their looks. maybe it's just me, but i'm confident with what i have. i wish other girls would be too. if it was my daughter... hmm. i'd have to have a really long talk with her about all the risks invovled and then show her pictures of how things could go wrong. if she still wants them, then i guess i'd let her get them. but personally, i like the real thing better :-P

We can only speculate why people do the things they do to themselves to make them "beautiful." I think we all know true beauty lies within.
