{text}There's been quite a few new arrivals, huh. It's kind of interesting how people seem to arrive at similar times, and yet people disappear at different times. Makes me wonder just what they're trying to achieve with that, exactly. Also makes me wonder whether they're after anyone in particular, or they just end up with whoever they get ( Read more... )

Not that I disagree ... but if they came out into the city, they'd be eradicated.

(Shinji laughs for a brief moment before speaking.)

That might not have been the case if they had done something like it from the beginning. It's amazing how quickly things become 'too late'.

((ooc: so sorry about the log, I got busy and then... I forgot D: I-I'll post soon if you want to finish it?))

Hah hah! True, though they don't seem like the set that is zetta willing to get their hands dirty.

{ooc: It's cool, I did too for a while. D: If it's easier for you, we can just assume? Either way is fine.}

Ah, now there's some common sense!

You know, maybe from different times and stuff, but I've noticed there are a whole lot of people here from Japan, especially Tokyo.

Some of us have to be capable of it.

Tokyo is so overrated. But yeah, I've noticed that.

Oh, definitely~ It's a nice change.

Haha! I like Tokyo, but it really is all people seem to talk about sometimes. Still, I agree, it's weird that there are so many people here who run into people they know. Even family members!

Kind of sad that it's a 'change'. But hey, just makes me all that more appealing, right?

I prefer Osaka, but that's just because out of Osaka and Tokyo, Osaka was closest to me. I lived on Shikoku, which is hardly the most exciting place in Japan to grow up on.

Perhaps there's something about those families that the scientists like. Or... something. I can't really see a reason for it.

As one of these new arrivals, could you tell me what these Scientists do exactly?

bakuhatsushinji November 15 2008, 06:29:58 UTC
What they do? That's kind of a loaded question, but I'll do my best.

First things first, as I've already said, they seem to be the only survivors (as far as we know) of whatever it was that destroyed this city and killed all the other people who lived here. Following on from that, the scientists have been bringing 'us' here, people from various worlds, regardless of whether they're dead or alive in their own time, to, apparently, repopulate and rebuild this city ( ... )

...Huh. They better not put me up with that Joker freak.

..Anyway. Sorry about that interjection. This is some strange organization they're running. But that was a good answer. I'm still confused, but at least I know what to watch out for.

I guess.

'Put you up'? What, like... living with? I'm not so great with English colloquialisms at times, so if I've misunderstood... But you, like, choose where you live. So if you don't want to live with someone, you don't live with them. Simple as that.

I'm not sure if there's anyone here that really has much of a clue about what's going on here.

Oh, Shinji Mimura by the way. Nice to meet you. Well, as nice as the situation allows.

How long have you been here?

Three months, give or take a couple of days.

It's so stupid. They honestly seem to think they're the victims here.
