Name: Tara.
Nicknames (no FFVIII nicknames though, as it might sway votes):
Age: 21.
Gender (and gender-rating preference, if you have one): It doesn't matter to me.
Interests:
drawing, art, tea, film, video games, comics, computers, web design, graphic design, fashion, hanging with friends… I'm really not that interesting. ^_^;;
Pet Peeves:
people always complain about their lives and who have constant drama, drugs, wild parties, public bathrooms, not being organized, lateness, people who do anything to fit in with a crowd…
Hobbies/Talents:
I've been drawing since I can remember. I'm a pretty creative person! You can check out some of my work
here! I'm also pretty good with technology. I love fidgeting with electronics.
Dreams/Ambitions:
Okay, this is going to sound like I'm unsure of what I want, but it'll make sense once you read all of it:
I'm a senior in college right now and I'm majoring in computer science. I'm an okay programmer, nothing special compared to some of the guys in my class, but it's something that I enjoy doing as a job. I don't eat, sleep, and breathe programming like everyone else I know does; don't get me wrong, I'm really interested in computer science, especially computer securities and web development. The field pays really well, especially since I have to pay off all my college loans, get a car, go to grad school… and I really want to get married and have three kids before I'm 30. I love celebrating holidays and having get-togethers. That's pretty much my dream that I can definitely work towards right now, however…
My boyfriend (of 3+ years) and I are working on a novel and possibly a comic book series based on the novel, and if given the chance that we make enough money to support our family with that, I'm quitting my programming job to become a professional comic book artist (he's a computer science major, too, by the way!). I make sure I keep up with my drawing skills and I practice every single day. :D
Strengths:
Focused, responsible, organized…
Weaknesses:
I'm too nice of a person, but I've been getting better at telling people how I feel about them when I should. I used to be a push-over, but as I'm get older I'm becoming less tolerant of people.
Love is also a huge weakness for me, especially since I don't normally have crushes… (I've only fallen in love with two people, ever -- one of which is my current boyfriend and another who led me on for five years). I fall HARD. I don't mind, it helps me understand the difference between "attraction" and "love". I also won't date a person unless I'm absolutely sure I love them.
Optimistic or Pessimistic:
Realistic. There are times when I get upset (who doesn't?), but before I get to that point, I think of all the possible ways I can make the situation better. If I run out of ideas, then… I suppose I'm irritated for a while, but I move on. There are always more important things to worry about.
Hyper, Calm, or Somewhere in Between?:
I'm usually calm, but I definitely do have "OMG" moments when there's something I'm interested in.
Impulsive or Cautious:
Cautious.
Outgoing or Shy:
A little of both. I'm shy when it comes to meeting new people, but I open up once I get to know them.
Mature or Immature?:
Mature.
Leader or Follower?:
Eh, it depends. I'm okay with being a follower, but if nothing is getting done in a group, I'll take charge. I hate it when there's one or two people carrying the load and everyone else just cruises along… ugh… >_<
What are the 3 top characteristics you look for in a friend?
People who are honest, open-minded, and good listeners. I don't understand why some people have to lie about really petty things. I was the one who always listened to everyone's problems and gave advice in high school, but sometimes it's nice to have someone to go to when I'm upset too, you know? :)
Are you more of a lover or a fighter?:
Meh, I'm neutral. I'm not all "PEACE AND LOVEEE :D :D :D" but I also won't sit around if there's something worth standing up for.
What's your fighting style (FF or RL-verse)?:
I would be a mage, so I can attack with elements from a distance.
Finally, if a situation isn't going the way you like, what do you do about it?:
Wait it out. Suck it up and deal. Life will get better.
Pictures (optional):
Sorry about the typical MySpace pic.
Anything else we should know?:
Not really.
