Lore watched as Zell greeted people he passed. "Wow, you know everyone," she said in surprise. She supposed it did make sense. Balamb was a small town, after all. Still, she had grown up in Deling, which was anything but small, and the idea of recognizing almost everyone you passed on the street kind of shocked her.

"Well, this is it!" Zell grinned as he waved to Lore to follow him inside.

It was a cute little shop, hidden away. She had probably walked right by it and never even noticed. She followed Zell inside, looking around. It seemed nice - nothing scary or unclean. There were some posters on the walls, various ideas for the customers. Lore scanned one near her. There was a sun that was kind of cool. It wouldn't be a bad tattoo for a stomach, or right above an ankle.

She put her hat back on, eyeing the bandage on her left arm. She wanted to take it off and look, but she knew she wasn't supposed to.
Zell was right, it hadn't really hurt. It stung a little, and now it felt a little funny. Sort of raw, like a carpet burn. But it wasn't terribly painful; she hadn't wanted to faint or cry or anything nearly as dramatic as she expected.
"Did your mom like yours?" she asked.

Chuck finally started working on Zell's tattoo. Zell couldn't help but giggle slightly. Not that it tickled... Of course the needles didn't tickle. It was more a mix of the excitement and the strange feeling that resulted in Zell's giggle.

When Zell giggled, Lore almost lost it. She hid her mouth behind her hand, trying hard not to laugh. But Zell, bouncing around and giggling like a little kid, was just too much, and a laugh escaped. She clamped her mouth shut, until the urge had passed.

"Sorry, sorry," Zell apologized, trying to calm himself down. Taking a glance at Lore, he asked, "How's it look so far?"

"You can count on me," she answered dryly. "I'll sit on you if I have to." Though she said it absolutely deadpan, she looked up at him with a hint of humor in her eyes. The differences in their size alone made the thought amusing to her.
