"You look beautiful!" Addy gushed, hugging her friend. She was proud of Lore. She knew she had worked hard, and SeeD was the best of the best at Garden. No easy feat by any means. Addy knew Lore would do great - she had a natural strength and skill for battle.

Lore laughed, hugging her back. "I'm not supposed to look beautiful, I'm supposed to look like a SeeD!" she retorted. She smoothed out the sides of her hair. "C'mon, let's finish my hair." The top half was in a french twist. Lore had scrunched her naturally wavy hair to give the part hanging out of the twist some curl, but she needed Addy's help with a curling iron to finish the job. The bottom part of her hair was straightened, as usual, and left down. She sat on the edge of the bed, leg bouncing up and down excitedly.

Addy grabbed the curling iron, already plugged in, from the desk and kneeled behind Lore on the bed. "It won't take long," she told her, grabbing random strands of hair hanging out of the clip to curl. "Stop bouncing, or I'm going to end up burning you," she warned.

"Sorry," Lore replied sheepishly, forcing her leg to sit still. "What are you going to do with your hair?" she asked.

"That will look nice," Lore agreed. Lore usually opted for things with a bit more flair - bigger things, with brighter colors. Things that, she felt, gave her outfit personality.

But she knew it was just right for Addy's taste. Probably most of the jewelry her mother gave her was more Addy's style than her own, and Lore wondered if she should give it to her. Right now, she realized, she had more important things to focus on, and returned her attention to carefully putting on her mascara.

Adalia quickly put on the dress and the necklace, then rummaged in her closet for her shoes. When she finally managed to find them, she stood next to Lore for a moment to see how she looked in the mirror. Lore had been right - the green dress was a better choice. Lore did have good taste. Maybe it seemed a little weird at times, but still overall good taste. She sat on the bed, strapping the shoes on.

Addy hoped someone she knew would be there. Reagan, or Lore's friend Dante, or ANYONE. Conner had said he was going, she remembered, but Conner wasn't much of a dance person. It wouldn't surprise her if he changed his mind. She was tempted to call him, just to be sure. She didn't want to be standing around by herself all night. But she also didn't want to look like a wuss, too afraid to go out alone. Even if she was one.

Lore studied herself in the mirror critically. It still didn't look right. But she figured out what the problem was - there was no color! The uniform was just so..well, bland looking. And she really couldn't do much about it. The high collar kept her from wearing a necklace. The long sleeves shot down the idea of doing anything with her arms. Really, the only skin showing was her knees, between the skirt and the high boots. There wasn't a lot of room to work with.

She didn't want to do too much - this was the SeeD uniform after all, and she doubted the headmaster would like to see her decked out in her own version. But it also seemed almost sinful to leave without adding a little something to personalize her look. It was just so...color-less. She tried a few things that didn't work - a choker, hairpins. Then she found a gold chain-link belt that she tried wrapping around her waist. Perfect. She threw on an oversized electric blue watch, and declared herself ready. "What do you think?" she asked Addy.

Fastening on a thin gold watch of her own, Addy looked Lore's outfit over. "You look good," she admitted, wondering how Lore could come up with such strange ideas and actually make them look like they made perfect sense, like everyone else was odd for not wearing a belt. It made her a little jealous. Addy wouldn't have the guts to leave her room in some of the things that Lore managed to pull off.
