[Background]
A street orphan, Doll fell in with a group of other homeless children (or otherwise). All we know about her parents is that her left eye, and that side of her face, is scarred and damaged because of them. It can be assumed that they were abusive, and it's probably more likely that they dumped her in the street after irreparably scarring her than that they died. Whatever happened originally, the group of misfits she was with (which included Joker, Beast, Dagger, and others) lived in a gutter in East End before being given a place to live by Baron Kelvin (a man later revealed to have a disturbing obsession with Ciel, the protagonist).
Her original name is unknown, and she's given the name Doll by Joker because, according to him, she's their "cute little sister." Despite missing her left eye, she becomes the circus' tightrope walker. She wears a far more girlish and extravagant attire while performing than she does under normal circumstances.
In fact, when Ciel and Sebastian join up with the circus for a while (under the names Smile and Black), Doll becomes Ciel's tent mate under the male guise of "Freckles." Ciel doesn't even know she's a girl until she reveals herself to him later after helping him when he's caught sneaking around. Apparently, she likes pretending to be a second teir member because first tiers get their own tent and she sleeps better when around someone else.
When Ciel and Sebastian leave and their true identities are found out by the circus members, Doll is reprimanded for believing him. Though distraught that she might have gotten everyone in trouble, she still doesn't think Ciel is with Scotland Yard. She has faith in him, in fact, up until they are finally reunited at Baron Kelvin's manor. She'd been sent to tell the troupe's plans to Joker, but found the place in flames. When Ciel tells her that they meant to bring down the circus from the start and that they'd killed Joker and Kelvin, Doll attacts them. Ciel calls on Sebastian at this point and though it isn't shown it's assumed she was killed.
[Personality]
Cheerful and friendly, Doll easily welcomes Ciel to the circus and makes it a priority to see that he figures out the proper ways of things. When he's not quick enough to grab a meal during the rush for food, she shares some of her own. She also makes sure he gets up on time, and helps him practice. She tried to help him take a bath once, but he wasn't pleased about that. In the struggle, she got to see the brand on his back that he'd been trying to hide. She's very apologetic for this and tells no one else what she saw.
As shown by the fact that she often passes herself off as a boy, Doll isn't all the feminine except for when she's performing. She's also not very modest, as she had no issues with getting ready to help Ciel bathe, she hopped into bed with him when he was sick, and she sticks his hand right on her breasts to prove that she's female later (even offering, jokingly, to let him "take a peek downstairs" as well).
She's also rather naive, easily believing Ciel's lies and continuing to think he's a good person until the end despite his kindness having been an act the whole time.
[Specialties/Abilities]
Doll is the circus's tightrope walker, so obviously she has a good sense of balance. She also appears to be rather quick and agile - easily catching a venomous snake the proper way with one hand, making it through the lunch crowd and getting a good load of food despite everyone else. She may also know how to use a knife. That's about all we know about her abilities-wise, though.
[Affection]
I'm not too picky? She's not too modest, and she likes company - doesn't like sleeping in a room by herself. So... ask me!
[Fighting]
She's not really a fighter. Just tell me if you want to do something.
[Other Facts]
The colors I've chosen for her might not be her official ones, as those haven't been given as far as I know. The wiki mentioned brown hair and blue eyes (after I'd already chosen similar) but I don't know where this info came from.
Also, Doll comes from the Victorian era, so she will have to react to the technology of Somarium accordingly.
