I have a Niki-shiki! It's purple! I think it's actually too small for me. and the gears don't really work that well. However, I've had it since I was twelve. So that speaks well for durability. I'm not sure I believe what your prof said about longest semester. I'd need evidence. Be careful, you don't want to have a neuro-episode with all those neuro-science classes.
I have been saying "nikishi" for years and just this morning I looked at the writing on the frame and was like "son of a gun!" This one was manufactured in 1977 and it's in reasonably good condition (some scratches, nothing else visibly wrong). It's maroon.
UT Dallas classes began August 21st and they end December 17th! So it's pretty long. The neuro classes are kind of intense but here is what I have learned:
Integrative isn't nearly as hard as I thought, everyone I've talked to has said that the reading isn't essential, just make sure to get good class notes.
Sensory neurophysiology is the easiest class ever. The entire grade is based off of two week long take home tests.
The rest are super fun, actually, even kind of Introduction to the arts which I was dreading because I've already been introduced to the arts.
