I think you did the right thing by sending your mom that e-mail. She's not even my mom, and I know that it makes ME feel awful when I hear Nate treating her like she's the scum of the earth (which is quite frequently).

I'm sure she'll understand that the email isn't meant to be an attack....It really only shows how much you care about her.
