Comment on this post. I'll choose seven userpics from your profile and you'll reply here (or you know, your own journal, whichever), explaining what they mean and why you're using them. Post this along with your answers in your own journal so others can play along.
And since I love all my pretty icons, how could I refuse?
Eleanor from The Lion in Winter, looking very ladylike and meek at the films beginning. It will only take the film about five minutes to show how wrong this impression is.
Eleanor: What would you have me do? Give out? Give up? Give in?
Henry II: Give me a little peace.
Eleanor: A little? Why so modest? How about eternal peace? Now there's a thought.
Basically I just love Eleanor and I love Katharine Hepburn.

I’ve always been interested in World War II (I blame my dad for dragging me to air shows when I was a kid and pointing out the Spitfires and Hurricanes), and I love the old poster art from the 1930’s and 1940’s. So basically it was a perfect match.
------
I love crows, magpies and ravens. It’s the whole trickster-myth thing. This is my third icon with a corvidae feature. I’m always on the look out for more.
------
I defy anyone to watch Friday Night Lights and not fall in love with grumpy coach Taylor. (The only excuse is if they fell in love with Mrs. Coach instead, because I’m good with that too...)

I adore the cropping on this one, and how the watermark in the corner becomes part of the composition. I’ve also always, for some odd reason, liked bees in art. Not so much in real life though as they file under "Another thing I’m allergic against." But this icon is one of my favourites.

Thanks to a post by
alexandral I discovered the wonderful artist
Mikhail Vrubel, and since
alexandral is such a great icon maker the post also came with
icons. How could I not take one? I love the contrast between the diagonal knife and the golden, round wreath on the angels head.

It’s a cat with vampire teeth!? How could I not love it? I love cats and I love surreal things - and this fits the bill on both. Also it’s good to have an icon that at least pretends to be scary.

ETA:I made none of these icons myself, but if you are wondering who did they should all be mentioned and credited on my icon-info page.
