I'm stuck writing a boring paper, so for some recreational amusement I was inspired by the meme floating around on LJ and the blogsphere about your Ten Favorite Film Characters.

Maybe I should watch these Dr. Mabuse movies. Am intrigued.

The first Mabuse is a four hour long silent film, in case you need warning. But it doesn't need dialogue, and the cinematography, acting and just plain visual craziness are OUTSTANDING! The second is with sound and is just creepy and good. I highly recommend them.

(my other guess would be Star Wars - or possibly Casablanca)
