Omg wtf kind of vet was she? A terrible vet. I just kept waiting for her to say, 'hey, kidding, it would be great of you took the dog but obviously we should see if the owner turns up.' And then I realized she was the gf. Ugh. I was going to try really hard to like her too... So much for that SPN.

They better have an ACTUAL reason Sam didn't at least try to verify Dean was dead... And they better tell us by Christmas. I can't even... Just no. I don't think anyone who has seen one episode - hell, one animated gif - thinks that Sam would actually just accept Dean was dead and move on right away. C'mon really?

Hahah, Crowley gave Kevin a makeover? I really hope there is a makeover montage somewhere that they'll stick on the DVD extras. I don't think they're even trying anymore. We had to talk about Kevin's hair?

I did like the Moose shout out and the brotheriness that wasn't awkward. I'm disappointed but I expected to be so it's not like I'm quitting the show.

All of this! My first thought was "I would have a vet that spoke to me like that struck off!" Lolol.

I am so torn because honestly everything else about it was great (Crowley, Kevin, Benny the caaaaaar) and Dean's jealousy and obsessiveness was BEAUTIFUL but Sam's rationale was INSANE. I am positive there must be something else going on because that is NOT Sam Winchester. If not, Carver will be doing a LOT of back pedaling I suspect.

Jessica Moore is spinning in her grave.

The vet had this weird agenda for Sam that I have trouble believing anyone would have for a total stranger. Guy comes rushing in with injured dog, obviously desperate to save it, and her conclusion is that he caused the accident by being a bad person, but (as others note) still the perfect guy to adopt the dog?

Also, how does she know at a glance that the dog is un-owned? Possibilities:

1. She can detect microchips or their absence using her X-ray vision.
2. She knows the dog, and something has (coincidentally) just happened to its owner.
3. She IS what happened to its owner, and also made sure the dog would be in the road at the right moment for it and Sam to meet bloody (the SPN version of "meet cute".)

Spoilers I've missed may rule out any or all of these, but for now I'll assume that Sam's been messed with.

I am holding out hope that we should not take Sam's words at face value. I probably had the stupidest WTF face when Dean was like, "you didn't look for me?" Sam didn't answer though so maybe was dissembling. I really hope that we'll see some awesome things unfold as the season progresses.

And yeah, the vet was totally odd and I was all, "Oh Sam, is she the GF?"

Ugh. Yes to all of this.

Just commented somewhere else in this post's comments, but that vet? I gathered right away that she was the GF, but in any case IN ANY CASE YOU DO NOT CONFLATE ACCIDENTALLY HITTING A DOG WITH YOUR CAR WITH BEING A BAD PERSON. WTF.

I am seriously considered saving up lots of eps and watching them in a chunk later, too. I am sadly admitting to myself that this show has gotten too painful (in a bad way, not an awesome dramatic emotionally painful good way like S2-3!) to drag out from week to week.

I SRSLY hope Edlund will pay attention to fan reaction right now. But Edlund, though smart & funny, has never been great at realistic emotional arcs. Or, as I always point out, with NOT BRINGING THE SEXISM.

*sadface*
