Summer's coming ... time to catch our shows!

May 30, 2009 13:07

Every summer, I look forward to a "real" holiday = quality time with the hubby and family, stress relief from work, updates on the latest family dramas, and of course, a chance to (finally!) indulge in the latest fandom buzz.

Around this time last year, we  "discovered" Supernatural (solid four season run, tho the S4 arc and ending were somewhat ( Read more... )

Leverage, Fringe, In Plain Sight, Mentalist, Reaper.

Burn Notice, Bones & Chuck if you haven't start already.

I would suggest Unusuals, but they cancelled it already :-(

The first few episode of Dollhouse were dissapointing and very un-Joss... that's because of FOX's meddling, but after the 5th (?) they're showing Wheddon's awesomeness ;)

It's been cancelled? Gee, it's such a fun show, light and airy and perfect for spring.

Unusuals ? yep!.. they didn't even give it a chance... Why do they even bother to show it at all when they keep changing the time?

With the cast like Harold Perineau & Amber Tamblyn, they could get popular if only ABC give them the advertising they need, maybe half what they did to Desperate Housewives/Grey's :-(

I second Fringe, Burn Notice, Bones and Chuck. Actually I third, fourth and fifth Chuck, too. :D

hah, chuck sounds like a must try! It's got nothing to do with a suicidal chubby doll, right?

Lol! No dolls in sight, fortunately, because they creep me out. I started watching because Adam Baldwin is in it, and it turned out to be one of the best shows I've ever seen. It's chock full of pop culture references that are slipped in pretty much the way they would be in ordinary geeky life, rather than beating us all over the head with forced cool. It's amazing. I'm going to shut up now, lol.

Quite the list you've got there. :)

I just watched the s4 finale of SPN an hour ago, lol. And we finally started catching up on BSG. We're halfway through s2 atm.

Besides that I'm watching Chuck, Castle (both very funny imo), Bones, Grey's...and maybe something I forgot.

I actually watched the whole s3 of Heroes. I saw the last 7 eps in a row on a sleepless night, lol. Atm they seemes to get better and better, but it might have been my mind playing tricks on me. :p

I hope you find something new to watch, and I really have to recommend Chuck and Castle. :)

*huggles*

Awesome! Thanks lots. Sounds like Chuck and Castle are clear winners. Hmmm.... 7 Heroes eps in a row? Haven't done that since I first found Heroes and the whole "Save the cheerleader, save the world" arc ;) I hear they made drastic changes to improve the show?

They definitely are. And yeah, I didn't think it was possible either, but apparently it was. I haven't kept up with any of the stuff around Heroes for over a year now, so I have no idea what their original plans were, or what they're planning to do now. All I know is that I think the third season got better at the end. And by that I don't mean it's back to being the show I used to love,, but it's not on my hate list anymore. Which is good, because I really like so many of the people working on it.
