Tonight's debate

Now it will not come as any surprise to anyone that has read my LJ, that I am an avowed Democrat. That being said, I also have a degree in Political Science and try to somewhat unbiased in my analysis of these events

I definitely felt that most answers were relatively unspecific and always resorted to finger-pointing. I know that's part of the political game but I got tired of it. I also got sick of hearing "look at my record" from McCain. I know he's using that to try and support is arguments, but it was repetitive and again came back to the finger pointing. I just wish I had seen one of them be above that.

I also got tired of hearing the same thing over and over. Leilamae on her lj suggested that a drinking came be instituted. Every time McCain said "my friends" you take a shot. I told her that I wouldn't play that game, because by the end of the debate I would be so drunk that I would be in a coma. You could have used "look at my record" or, from the Obama side, "fundamental" or "change" just as easily and had the same result.
