Look what I dug up from the depths of my laptop!

Ok kids--I don't remember any more. Why is O for Dude? Anybody?

This is wonderful! I confess that I have never actually read the play, but I have seen the Julie Taymor film version, and all of this still makes sense.

I REMEMBER WHEN WE WROTE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!

"O is for Dude" is from the concept of a "Dude-Through," which I don't think we actually ever used in Titus, but it was an idea I brought from the Certain Players, who while in rehearsals for Much Ado (way back in the summer of 2000) came to the conclusion that "Dude" is the modern equivalent of the Shakespearean "O", and did an entire runthrough of the show on that principle. Examples include "Dude, that I had been writ down an ass!" and "Dude, that I were a man!"

(I'm not sure if I should win a prize or not, since I was in on the joke to begin with)
