Quick update

Sep 15, 2005 00:00

Argh! Well, my first week deceived me into thinking that it would be possible to not only keep up but get ahead a tiny bit each week. HA!! Lesson learned. ALso learned: no matter how small a book is, I always underestimate the time it will take to read. 120 pages--I should be able to kill that in two hours, right? Nope, try six ( Read more... )

Hey Drea! Sorry that your week is not quite as expected. I hope it gets better! UGH to seeing the snake! I hate them, too. I'm such a chicken.

It's definitely a good thing to have a doctor in your class. lol

Great to see you! Lisa

Thanks, Lis. :)I just have to rearrange my expectations.

Great to see you, too! I'm reading everyone's post even if I'm not commenting--oh, oh, I've become an LJ lurker. Ha!

Snakes. *shudder* At least it was dead. *shudder*

Six hours, huh? That would sound about right. Did you base the two hours on, say, a JM book? LOL. I can only imagine how boring school reading is.

Mae, that was priceless! I laughed so hard my husband asked me what was wrong. rotf!

So what did you pick, Drea? Bed or book? *g*

lol! Bed. It was a good choice. And yes, I based that on a JM book. ;) Silly me.

I can't believe she deleted the whole thread. Especially after Judith wrote that long post toward the end. Hopefully she'll dissapear w/ it.

I'm cringing just thinking about the reading you're having to do. Yuck!

What's Mae's post? Can someone post a link to it? I can usually get by the Internet Police at work and read a specific post on the board from work with a link, and I really need a good laugh right now.

Weird! It appears to be gone. Mae posted on Nicki's poll, oh, excuse me, POLE, about how her dog and uncle and all these people asked her to vote no. Then JM posted, and I'm not sure why the post of gone. Am I missing it?

I was wondering how your classes were going. Sorry to hear that the keeping ahead wasn't working like planned. *coughoverachievercough* ;) Hope the reading gets quicker for ya. :)

What is your schedule like? I've been meaning to give you a call but wasn't sure when would be a good time. :)

:p I hope so too.

Um, weekends are probably going to be best since I have all day to study. Allows for better break time.

Snakes in the morning? Definitely worse than snakes during the afternoon. Yuck. I bet that woke you up big time. I can only imagine the rush of scary adrenaline that pumped up in you when you first spied it.

*sniff* I'm so sad that post is gone. I hate that they can delete their posts now. I loved Jennie's posts after it.

And was it you or ShanVan that made that one girl admit she was joking (when she clearly wasn't) after she posted, "I have to say, Mae, that is really wrong." Ha!! Then she's like, "Yeah, it was a joke". Whatever. I read that and was thinking, "My girlies got my back." It's such a comforting thought. :)

lol! True, but I prefer no snakes any time, ever. ;)

I know it was a Shannon, and I think it was Shannon formerly Williams. :) I loved that. That Virgo has no sense of humor. Hmph.

The POLE is gone? Darn, I was having so much fun with it! lol I can't believe *Jen* deleted the whole thing, because Judith finally said something in that post which I was hoping would put the freaks out of their misery.

But I wanted to tell you thanks for the laugh you gave me. It made my evening. *grin*

Dang, I missed it!! I tried to find it this morning and couldn't see what you were talking about. LOL! So what did you do on this time? I loved it when "Jim" and "Royce" and the others put in plugs for other full-length novels. ;)
