Metro, You SUCK!

I am a lil embarrassed to write this post but it is annoying the crap out of my system so here goes.

Last evening, Mum and I drove down to Paragon with the 3 kids cause Metro, (cue that jingle, "Metro lights up your christmas"), had a ladies night promotion.

I was there to shop for Christmas stuff and Mum was there to just browse.

Rudeness begets rudeness, and from my point of view, there was no need for you to raise your voice just to bring your point across. No, I do not work for Metro (I don't even shop there), so from a bystander's point of view, I think both parties handled the situation rather poorly.

You are Right! She was rude and I responded politely. But she was rude again and so rudeness begets rudeness, isn't it?

That was exactly what I did. Went to Tangs yesterday and shopped up a storm. Better value for money as well!

If you really don't want kids @ an event, then make it really clear. Why leave it to be ambiguous and then dropping the news at the door? Isn't it a lil late and bad event planning?

I'm with you on Mindchamps. I would've walked off quietly with my kids and do other things with them, instead of having a verbal exchange if that lady had been polite. Grr.. we all live and learn, I'd supposed.

Grr, that is so inflexible of them! I'd have kicked up a fuss if I was turned away because of my kid too!

I would've walked away if she had been polite but when she was persistently rude and outright unprofessional.

I think Metro did think about a program for the kids but they didn't inform their staff that it exists. It was a very unpleasant experience, to say the least. =/

Who knew that Metro was the place to be seen? =)

There's always lack of communication leading to unnecessary unhappiness! Tsk! I would have lost my temper too!

I wasn't the only person with kids in the crowd. The rest of the mums were complaining too. But poor event coordination and inflexibility makes for a very unsatified customer. Which means that we will just take our business somewhere else. =/
