Any idea from where this bag comes from? Have you seen similiar somewhere? I would like to get one or something similiar for my sister (she was thrilled when I showed it to her) for Christmas or her birthday. Well, here in the states I believe that alligator skin anything is still illegal. It was a protected species, nearly hunted to extinction in the last century for accessories such as this. You can find them in vintage stores but thats about it.

I don't think it's real alligator skin... Looks like just a fun, original bag to me. My sister likes reptiles ;DD I wouldn't want to buy it if it was made with a real alligator. Would cost way too much for my liking, I think. I don't want to spend tons of money on my sister. Pfff. No way in hell.

Apparently, croc is real popular in Japan. It may be a taxidermied alligator! O_O Personally, I'm one of those people who thinks animal skins look better on animals.

I can't agree with you because I don't like feeling like a hypocrite-- most of my shoes are made with real leather. I would never buy real fur though. I find it disgusting and heartwrenching that they remove the fur when the animal is still alive.
