Reasons Why I Hate THE SUN / Summer #872:

Jul 02, 2011 14:47

I need to slather sunblock all over myself for even short outings under the sun because... my neckline now has a tan line. Even worse/funnier: it's darker on one side of my neck/shoulders, which I think is because of the driver-side window.

Every summer, I forget that I tan and burn easily (it is terrible), and so every summer I am never prepared ( Read more... )

Ugh, the sun. As much as I love summer, sometimes I just hate the heat! :/

Oh yes, the heat is just as bad. I know other places have hotter or humid-er summers, but right now my SoCal summer is the worst thing ever.

I agree. I'm pretty fair-skinned and burn almost instantly when I go outside. The only parts of my body that ever tan are my lower back and forearms...so my left forearm is several shades darker than my right from all the driving. And the rest of me is pasty.
I loooove summer for the warm nights though. I just need to camp out in an air conditioned, windowless room during the day lol

YAY, sketchbooks.

PS. Apparently I broke the rules with the HiH auction thingy. We arent allowed to use it for trading and I can't get them refunded or transfer them to you. So much for being sneaky-creative. :C

Oh no. :( I'm sorry I cost you the knuts/time! Lemme know if I can make it up in any way!

I totally understand the forearms thing, especially my driver's window side arm being darker than the other. STUPID SUN. Let our Rainbow Dash icons express our displeasure.

Oh no!!! I had hundreds, seriously. And already bought the only things I wanted, since I don't do a lot of club stuff. I'm just sorry you had to go through all that ~strategic bidding for nothing! :C

It's evil. My left arm is actually burning-hot to the touch because of all the over-exposure.

YAY! I hate sun but I ♥ pony icons!

I ONLY HAVE ONE RARITY ICON SO I'LL USE IT. I can't believe I only have one Rarity icon.

Guess I'll have to save up knuts and get the books the legit way. >.>

The sun is evil. I still haven't forgiven it for burning my face and covering me in blisters on my nose my forehead for a week last month. :/

Oh my gosh, blisters? When I burn I turn blotchy and red, like The Hulk but red, and if it's REALLY bad then it'll peel (ewwww), but I don't think it's ever gotten bad enough to blister. STUPID SUN.

Yeah, I hadn't EVER blistered like that before. It felt awful.

I have really weird tanlines from going running/walking outside and such. Last year I had like 5 different colors of tan on my chest D:

I like having a tan, if it's even, but it *never* is.

I like having a tan, if it's even, but it *never* is.

Quoted for TRUTH.

The worst part is that I need goggles for swimming (eyes too sensitive to handle saline water or chlorinated water), and if I'm not careful I end up with raccoon eyes because of the tan. Only I guess it's reverse raccoon, since it's the skin around my eyes that's pale and the rest of my face that's dark. D:

Even worse: forgetting a spot when slathering on sunblock.

Awwwwh it'll fade soon!

Your icon is wonderful, btw.

It is! Nothing expresses annoyance like a unicorn on fire.

To make it fade I must either: only go out when sun's down and become a full-fledged Creature of the Night or wear longer sleeves/higher necklines when I go out and suffer. I don't know what's preferable.

Creature of the night is definitely the better option.

OR. You could carry around and umbrella everywhere and be that person.

I think it depends on the umbrella - classic black or one with dinosaurs on it. But I still don't think I could pull it off.

Creature of the Night it is!
