I couldn't resist this amazing Kickstarter project: Womanthology, a collection of women-created comics from a variety of backgrounds. Totally relevant to my interests, and it's nice to put my money towards things I talk about supporting. They've reached and exceeded their goal, but all the extra funds will go towards defraying behind-the-scenes

re: learning to watercolor, you should start with water color pencils, I love them! I was an art "major" at my fancy high school, so I used them A LOT, much to my art teacher's non-notice and perpetual praise for my water color abilities. Oh lol.
