The last four paragraphs are pretty funny. Let us mock the Bible.

Sean, I'm going to play the devil's advocate and see what happens. Some of this will even be ::gasp:: ARGUING FOR RELIGION ! To see Sean's argument, go to Himura1031's livejournal.

The only problem I see is that people have to be controlled. So maybe religion does that. It's also ( Read more... )

Abraham and Issac (the last paragraph)...
Abraham aka Avram and Sarah aka Sari the first Jewish couple put on earth had Isaac. Isaac grew to be a good kid, whom his father liked very much. God spoke to Abraham and said "Take Isaac to Mount Moriah, Build an altar there and offer your son to me as a gift". Avram was rather upset seeing as he really loved Isaac, but he knew he had to do it, for God has helped him through thick and thin. One Day Avram took Isaac up to the Mountain and built an offer. Just as Avram was puttingg Isaac on it God spoke agian " Abraham, you have proved that you would do whatever I ask. I shall give you your son. Please offer me somthing else". Isaac noticed a sheep in the bushes, that was the gift.
~Val, Avram was the first man to listen to God. He was always loyal to God and everything. God was only seeing if he would be so loyal as to even give up his favorite son, Isaac. Gad would neevr let Avram go through with that...

Wow. that makes everything A OKAY. In my personal opinion, anyone (god, buddha, whoever the fuck you think you are) who says that one needs to take the life of another just to prove a persons faith is disgusting and wrong. Even though this guy 'Avram' didn't really kill his son (or so we think) just him bringing the boy up to the mountain with the fucking mindset of "Today my son dies in the name of God. I will murder my son for GOD." Is just as bad as actually killing him. Sorry, but i believe Avram didn't show his faith. only how much of a fucking tool he was.To ME, killing a lamb, flower, tree, or bug to prove to another your faith in their (supposed) power, is revolting and wrong. THEN for 'god' to go and say ( ... )
