I love my vet. I have a pug (who is prone to vet visits because he's...a pug) and a persian cat. I've recommended this vet to a few friends too. They love them!! So kind, sweet, and I've never paid for anything unnecessary and it's cheaper than the vets my mom has been using for over 20 years--and she gets a discount
( ... )
I always went to the Animal Medical Center in Yorktown.... not to far from BSU. They were always very friendly and attentive to my pets. At that time I had rats.
I second Animal Medical! When I lived in Muncie, my cat went there for 3 years, and Dr. Smith is awesome and really nice. 2 Thanksgivings ago, my cat was vomiting for more than a week straight, and they took really good care of him.
I use Care Animal Hospital on Nebo (out by Meijer). They are more expensive, but they spend time getting to know you and your pet. Plus they aren't unnecessarily "You don't love animals nearly as much as I do" like you get from some vets.
However, I know that the price deters some people. I also recommend West View Animal Hospital, pretty close to campus, right down Jackson and a pop over the tracks. The people are nice and know what they are doing.
To make this even more confusing, my dad swears by Maplewood out on Granville. I, personally, don't like them, but he's been taking his cats there for 20+ years so they must do something right.
