Can I just tell you that I'm really happy with life these days. My job has turned out to be more than I ever hoped for. I can't imagine not working with kids anymore. I'm trying to get as many friends and family together that live in or near Oswego for Cosmic bowling on Friday the 16th. This will be in celebration of my birthday which is the 17th. The biggest change that I'm making will occur over the next few weeks. I'm moving, AGAIN, into a duplex with so much more space and storgage and even my own basement to put like Christmas stuff in so I don't have to keep carting it from Oswego to Ogdensburg. Some of you may know this, some may not, but I joined a Sweet Adeline's group in October to try and replace the void from having to leave Concinnity once I moved up here. The group is very diverse, argues a lot, but also knows how to have fun. Anyway, we've been working extremely hard for the Region 16 competition in Syracuse this past weekend. ( Read more... )

My mom does this trip thing every summer with ER tours and is in the starts of recruiting for next summer's trip to Italy. The trips usually last 10 days and are always a fantastic time. This past weekend was just amazing. I know I'm one of the alumnae that comes to visit Potsdam quite a bit compared to everyone else, but nothing beats a weekend with your sisters. I think this might be one of the first LJ entries I'm writing from work. Usually my day is too crazy but since the new semester started I have an extra break on Day 6 so this is a super easy day. Let's see this week I found out I have high blood pressure and I'm now taking pills for it. I'm also going to the hospital Saturday morning to have blood work done to check my thyroid because I've gained 10 pounds since October and have be going to the gym, eating healthy, and drinking water. Well I've been busy to say the least. As a music teacher and a director of music at St. Mary's Cathedral, I've got several concerts. My first for school was this past Tuesday and it went very well.
