*chortles* I would've gone with being a leaf.. or the wind itself. ;)
I kind of like the weeks of unemployment between jobs -- provided that nothing major is putting too much pressure (e.g. bills). So I hope that's the case with you.. enjoy, rejuvenate.. and.. uh.. roll forth? ;)
I'm going to enjoy the summer. Take my cousin sight-seeing, do some hiking, things like that. And get laser eye surgery.
The writing has been on hold... but is now coming off hold! :D How goes yours? Settled on a specific project yet? Or is it still challenge-hopping time? ;)
That sounds like a great plan! :) Hope you have fun. And YAY! about the writing coming back. *gleeful* I hope to see updates, y'hear!
As for me.. My Take-June Plan was a bust :P I haven't tallied up all my words, but I'm on a mini-hiatus now. Work sort of turned greedy on me, so my priorities and what I want to do are all up in the air. *sighs* That's the way it goes sometimes...!
Hey, since you've been out applying for jobs, and I haven't done it in *years*... Is it weird to put three references on my resume who all work where I work now? I haven't worked anywhere else significantly. The last one was four years ago, for 2.5 months (internship), right after graduation. So it feels weird to me to put these people on there that probably don't even remember me. But at the same time, it feels weird putting all ones from the current job too. I dunno... What do you think? :-)
You have come to the right person! Since once upon a time I worked at a company (that turned out to be Evil, but that's irrelevent for the current discussion) that was exclusively dedicated to doing background checks for clients -- I have mucho experience dealing with references and reference checks! Every company has different standards, but unless they specifically inform you of their policies, you can only go by the norm

The reason I'm asking is 'cause I'm thinking about applying for this: http://hotjobs.yahoo.com/jobseeker/jobsearch/job_detail.html;_ylt=AjoDHts6QUnqhDE5_uv00KL6Q6IX?job_id=J304848GY But kind of scared too... Would be a *big* change. If they'd even hire me.
Have fun with your downtime!
