I finally went ahead and booked an appointment for laser eye surgery. Downside is that I can't wear contacts for two weeks before the surgery, and one week before the pre-op evaluation. That means I have to take out my contacts tonight and switch over to my crappy ass out-of-date prescription lenses and out-of-fashion frames. And yeah, it's the ( Read more... )

Heh heh, I know what you mean about out-of-fashion frames. I had mine for years before I finally went to town and got 'em up to date. but oooh, is this corrective eye surgery, in that you won't be needing glasses/contacts?

Sorry to hear abou the heat. Sounds icky. *sympathetic, from someone who lives in tropical heat*

I've had mine forever too. But I've been wearing night and day lenses (24/7) for years now so that I rarely ever wear glasses. And I've been planning to get the surgery for a while now, so I couldn't see the point in investing that much money in new glasses.

But yes! The idea is no more glasses, no more contacts, no more achey eyes ever EVER AGAIN! Okay... so maybe achey eyes from time to time, since I have seasonal allergies. :P
