Hm. So real examples of the sentiments expressed in the video surely do exist, but I fail to see how the video itself demonstrates anything, given that it is a very clear piece of propaganda and the people in it are certainly actors. I could just as easily make an identical piece with the same actors in it saying that they hate American infidels (and a different catchy logo/slogan), and it wouldn't prove anything either.
Sir, you have skills that I do not have.Perhaps; but I surely cannot fathom the naivete required to believe that the people in a propaganda film are not actors. Do you have any basis for that belief
( ... )
Wow you read further into that than I would have expected. So, what the video is upposed to do is to get you to go to the website that is clearly displayed in the video... to whit, http://www.theotheriraq.com/.
Well...I liked the video and thank you for posting it. Whether it's true or not, it made me feel warm inside. Plus, according to several people I know who've been in service in that part of the globe - they've gotten the same grateful reception from civilians. "America...fuck yeah!"

The video is not intended to "prove" anything in and of itself. Rather, it is a *response* to stupidity like this: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=printer_friendly&forum=132&topic_id=2793507 (random article found via google search reflecting a theme I have heard frequently; to whit, we didn't actually help anyone)
and intended to bring people to a web site that talks about Kurdistan and the Kurds, a story utterly absent from most media reports.
