OK, so there's this thing going around (no, not the flu) and I caught it. I haven't updated this in a grip, due to actually being busy with non-internet stuff and also due to being a lazy procrastinator.

5 Questions and five answers:

*If you were forced, for some reason, to expatriate, where would you want to end up?

Belize. Costa Rica. Either of those would be OK with me. (lots of birds) Or Australia or NZ. Maybe Spain. Notice the theme of warm climates. :)

*What would you consider your greatest accomplishment?

That's a tough one. I don't have any 'great' accomplishments, just lots of little ones and some semi-important ones. Hmmm.... c'mon, think of something. I wrote a bird guide for the region I used to live in (southwestern Missouri o_o) It was never published. :(

*If you were afforded the opportunity to be somehow physically transformed into a gryphon, would you take it?

Hell yeah. You didn't stipulate that the transformation would be permanent. ;>

*What kind of music do you listen to?

Lots of different kinds. I evidently specialize in classic rock, from 1965-1975 generally, with 1968-1972 providing the 'mother lode' of my hoard of shinies. When I say 'classic rock' I'm talking about the likes of Love, the Amboy Dukes, Hawkwind, Vanilla Fudge. I also listen to DJs like Shadow, CutChemist, Z-trip, Logic, MixMaster Mike - fully thing, they play a lot of classic-rock mashups.

I'm also cool with the blues, which is best experienced live. When I'm working (lol) I maintain a positive attitude by listening to jazz. Not that wishy-washy stuff they call 'jazz' these past 15-20 years, but bebop, free jazz, stuff like that. Miles Davis. Play me some Miles, watch the ears perk right up.^^

I also like nasty, raunchy, bluesy psych-metal. Not cookie-monster-vocals stuff, guh. NO VOCALS. You don't sing over this stuff, yo. Listen. Play air guitar. Not sing.

*What's your favorite (legal) plant?

Jeez. That's like asking me what my favorite color is: whichever one I'm thinking about right about now.
OK, my favorite Oregon native plant miiiight be the Vine maple, Acer circinatum - I really like its growth habit and general manner. Favorite plant-o'-the-world? Parrotia persica, or Persian ironwood. Really pretty tree, like a giant witch-hazel.

Well, I hope that was illuminating. :}

Now, it is time for dinner., illumination!
