Everything Bleeds Into Everything: An Uchiha Kyoudai FST
Public post so everyone can access it ^___^
SPOILERS under the LJ-cut up to present chapters in manga, so you may not want to read the lengthy intro (just skip to the songs ^_^).
Note: This is not an Itasasu!FST. I'm sure you could pull elements of it from some of the song choices, but this is a completely platonic "brothers" FST.
***POSSIBLE SPOILERS***
Itachi and Sasuke have a very (insert adjective of choice) relationship. In the beginning we can see that Itachi really does care about Sasuke a lot right?. Itachi takes care of Sasuke and Sasuke looks up to his older brother. On the flip side, Itachi is rarely around because he has so many responsibilities as the prodigy of the Uchiha clan. Sasuke is constantly trying to vie for Itachi's attention as well as his own father's, but has difficulty doing so and often is left alone to his own thoughts.
Sasuke, I think, is the only one who truly sees the strange behavior of his older brother for what it really is...I honestly think that before Itachi snapped, Sasuke's perception of his brother started to change from admiration to something close to a mixture of fear and confusion. This feeling only escalated on the night Itachi destroyed the entire Uchiha clan except Sasuke. He tormented the boy and left him with revenge in his heart and a bleak future.
In the present manga chapters, Sasuke's path towards revenge has taken him away from his home town and placed him in the hands of one of the strongest ninja in the world. He has closed himself off to his feelings and wants and is simply trying to become stronger than Itachi so that he can kill him and have revenge for the family Itachi took from him.

Anyway, there are no individual song explanations because there are so many unknown factors between the two and everyone has their own interpretations and my personal interpretations tend to flip flop with every chapter ;o; ; however, the songs' lyrics all convey the message I'm trying to toss out there about the -basic- relationship these two had/ve, so read/listen to them and interpret them however you please.
