About death..

Why do we not think, "Death is coming. I had better take precaution"? When we sense danger coming, we take the necessary precaution. Is not death the biggest danger? And yet we enjoy life. Think for a while. Does it mean that we don't believe in death? Are we skeptics? Do we think it is only an illusion? If it were real to us, we would be serious

If only the pronoun "we" was accurate... I fear that is not the case. I think that in general, most people choose to push the knowledge of death, and thereby the acceptance of its inevitability, to a far corner of their minds. Even when their loved onces disappear all around them, so many people push it aside and feel only hurt. When we acknowledge death as a part of life, as something inevitable, but physical, we gain a great deal and can experience life more fully.
