safety for kids? more like "lost touch with reality" big government!

Just catching up on the hullabaloo over the CPSIA law.  What the heck were these people thinking???  This is one of the most ridiculously unrealistic pieces of legislation ever.  Why do they think putting small businesses out of commission at a time like this is going to work for anyone?  Not to mention that most of the small businesses (mainly ( Read more... )

These people are thinking they're getting big bucks from the big corporations who can afford the testing with no problem & see it as an easy way to eliminate the little people/competition, oh & all the yardsales (though I highly doubt anyone will bother to police that, the man-power to check up on all yardsales, or even spot-check enough to be at all effective would be insane) and thrift stores & ebay and such, think how many more NEW toys Fisher Price can sell if nobody can re-sell last year's version ( ... )

Not to mention the hypocrisy here . . . We're all supposed to be going 'green.' How can we accomplish that by chucking perfectly safe things in a landfill?
