Ahhhh...Summer time!

Well, they finally finished my swimming pool completely. I've been waiting on them for a week to get the privacy fence done and it's up! I'm not that bad out of shape but I'd prefer if my neighbors not eyeball me with my goods hanging out all the time. ; p ( Read more... )

Sounds nice. I used to be a swimming instructor, but I haven't been near a pool in ages.. I've been hanging at the gym instead. Ugh! Have lost 2.2 kilos in the past two weeks, though. Mostly through low GI. That's 4.8 pounds.

I spent part of last summer in Canada and I rather liked the metric system stuff once I got used to using it. Almost five pounds is great in two weeks woman! If I could stay away from the blasted chocolate and bread, I'd be fine. There's just something inside me that can't be completely satisfied by rabbit food like salads all the time though. I think my metabolism has slowed down to a snore as I've gotten older! LOL The husband tells me that sex is the best activity for burning calories but I've never been one to overdo. LOL!

I'm off most carbs. Eating lots of low GI vegies. Some protein (mostly cottage cheese or marinated tofu, since I'm a vegetarian...)

OMG! An American who likes the metric system. I never thought I'd see the day. When are you guys switching?? The rest of the world has!!

Join a sports club instead -- play football or tennis or something. Probably more fun than the gym, and I speak from experience, here! I hate the gym! But my hours aren't conducive to anything else!

I actually lost weight at Uni because instead of having mum to drive me around, I walked everywhere. And I was so poor I couldn't afford to eat junk food!
