Hi

I hear you completely, Bambam… I felt the same way with “some” people in my life. Although, it’s sad people don’t respect you and care for you… for WHO YOU ARE… Never EVER change!! I think it’s best to let the person/people know how you feel. That you refuse to be a crutch for them. I feel that sometimes, they might not realize what they are doing?? Or if they do… it’s time to let them know it bothers you and you just wont tolerate it anymore. If worse does come to worse…. Finding friends who appreciate you for YOU is the better path to take. I have had to do that myself…and you know what?! I am so happy. I’ve never been so happy. Its silly, but once you find friends who appreciate and love you for YOU. You do change a bit… but in a positive way… you become more relaxed, comfortable and MORE open to be yourself… a self you didn’t really knew existed!! It’s an exciting discovery in life.. Trust me ( ... )

it's not that people need me. i just keep allowing myself to be in these situations. i feel that it's my fault because i allow it. it's just the way i am. i think some people take advantage of that because they know i'll be there. i'm sick of it. i'm ready for a change but i don't know where to start.

This is precisely why I now do anything for a few people, and nothing for anyone else.

Don't change yourself. If there are people that make you feel like you've been taken advantage of, distance yourself from that person/those people. Easier said then done, I guess, but it's better then consistently being disappointed...
