lesbian drama and hockey and Team Canada

So Mel asked me to go to her ball hockey game. She was playing her ex’s team. You know, that girl who dumped her on her birthday and has since taken up with some uber sketchy older butch who’s Hulk crossed with Zoe Bell but less awesome. Who was also there. We entertained the idea of making a mean sign but eventually decided against it. I did ( Read more... )

For a post by you that includes the words "lesbian drama" in the title, it's disturbingly lacking in lesbian drama. Are you sure you didn't miss something?

Well she was having major drama, I just got to watch from the sidelines. The new girlfriend was sitting somewhere in the stands near me and the ex briefly tried to make small talk with Mel after the game for no reason. It was just yucky for her and made me think about how awkward it must be when the worlds of lesbian drama and sports collide ( ... )

Hah. I guess that's why I failed to understand. I'm so used to you starting off with saying there's drama and it being yours I guess. ;) I see it now.

I'm glad to hear all of that, by the way, rambling as it may be. Hopefully you bring Mel to our next party. ;)

It seems to me that a sporting event would be the only legitimate way to ever knock your ex over and be all "oh, i was just chasing the ball".

"Take up sports and beat up your terrible exes" would be a way better way to get me to exercise.

Yeah but you take out your ex and suddenly you become that crazy bitch who attacks her ex in the rink. No win situation, man.

Ice hockey sounds like so much fun. And lesbian drama too, though this is coming from someone whose lesbian circle is quite small and hasn't really expanded into full blown drama (yet). I am somehow missing living vicariously through other people's experiences. I don't know if this is a good thing or not. I have enough of my own drama to worry about anyone else's ;)

I find that spending time with people who get you down is really a waste of time. Just be with people who appreciate you, themselves and having good fun :)
