Kareem, you are awesome with your questioning and optimistic, idealistic thoughts. I really like what you wrote. It makes me feel good inside. Have you ever gone to a poetry slam? You should really check it out. There are always those anti-war poems and those social outreach poems, and then there are also those hopeful, spiritual, uplifting poems. Its all pretty awesome, everything makes you think. Anyway, i think its something you might like.
I don't know the story behind you and your friend, but unfortunately, you are pretty right. There will always be the people who doubt and judge, which we al do, but there will always be the naysayers. And thats fine. As long as you take that with a grain of salt, because, after all, they don't even know you and who you are and what you stand for. they can't judge your heart. And in that respect, no amount of skepticism, judgment, or ignorance can really touch you.
