Was Morning Pages ... Now Daily?

Morning pages morphed into daily and even further into evening pages. UberGeek updated my PC today with Windows 10. I know, I know. It's about time, and in all honesty, I don't think any of us realized I was still on Windows 7! It's worked perfectly for me until I attempted to download an app and it required Windows 8+.

I know! It's a bit of serendipity we didn't ignore for misplaced pride that they weren't brand spanking new. Actually, they've never even used the broiler on the range! Our wall oven hasn't worked properly in years, but I never wanted to replace it because it's right next to the fridge which means extra power usage to keep the fridge cold when using the oven, but I couldn't justify taking out the cooktop which worked just fine. Now that it's old and not working so well, it's a different story. Yay!

Since I lost those bonus points yesterday, I'd say the week was a wash. Oh, well.

I love how renovations are like archeology projects sometimes! Still, it's so much work and such a hassle during the process.

I have no advice on refrigerators. I'm just happy if I have one that works. I couldn't live with an oven--I do a lot of baking.

I'm looking for a new laptop. My old Pavillion is slowly getting to the point where I know it's about to die. *sigh* I hate that. Like burying an old friend.

UberGeek calls it scope creep; when the scope of work creeps into other things. The faux stone wall in the living room was a 'quick and easy' job to take care of the gaping hole in the wall where the in-room AC unit was for twenty-five years. Our upgrade was an HVAC system for the house, but when we removed the through-the-wall AC, we discovered a false wall with unknown treasures (sorta). So very like archeology ( ... )
