Day After

Jul 25, 2017 12:21

Migraines are a rather miserable way to start a week, and for the most part, they're not frequent. They used to be, so finding myself curled up in a dark room for a day is no longer a weekly or bi-weekly experience. Still, the day after is always a sluggish one for me ( Read more... )

*gentle hugs* I'm so glad the migraine has abated somewhat, and here's wishing you a speedy recovery from the horribleness.

*giggles* Hooray for being great hosts and great neighbors!

::squishes ... glomps::

All better now, thank you, dear one.

They only happen every couple of months which really only impacts me for a day or two, so it's all good.

my sympathies. I still deal with migraine 12 to 17 days out of the month. Dr says end of menopause should help. It's my third year of menopause so far. Not fun. Plus I'm not so sure I believe him. Both my mother and my favourite aunt had migraines like I do and they both still have them and they're in their 70s, perhaps not as frequently, but still. *sigh*

::nods:: I completely empathize. Before my hysterectomy, I suffered in a similar fashion as you are now, even if my migraines were also triggered by certain food sensitivities as well. I had them for days, weeks on end, and none of the medications we attempted helped at all. The seem to run in families, and I get them from my mom's side as well, although she got them from her dad.

I wish you all the best and I hope you'll find that as your hormones rebalance the frequency and intensity lessens.

I used to call that my migraine hangover. For me, the worst symptom of that was a difficulty in finding words. So strange. I'm glad you're better. *gentle hugs*

::clings:: It really is exactly like a hangover, and I'm generally slow and careful the entire day.

All better today, and I'm so very pleased by that. In fact, after a couple of errands and a conference call, I'm going to carve out the afternoon to write!

Thanks for the good wishes. No actual words made it to the page, but my arch-villain has developed a story-arc for which I'm very pleased.
