Well, we left the house at four in the morning, and drove for about two hours until we got to Barstow, where we had some McDonalds for breakfast, and I bought an Idaho Spud chocolate bar. <3 We kept going for about another three hours until we got to Laughlin. We checked into our hotel room at the Pioneer after stopping at the travel center and getting a fun book for the Ramada. We just sort of lazed about the rest of the day, and me and Mum stopped at the Colorado Bell and saw a nubby little orangutan. ;_; It was so cute, and I got to pet him. <3 I stayed in the aracde for a bit and played the games, mostly Dance Dance Revolution and this orb game where you have to match up the lines to win tickets. I won about ten tickets every quarter with that game. Then we drove around a bit and went back to the hotel room. At midnight, we went over to the Riverside and watched 'The Village'. It was even better at midnight than at seven.
On Monday, we slept in late and then went over to the Harrahs for Lunch. It was really really good, and they had remodled the resarount. Mum and Grandma played the slots while me and Alicia stayed in the arcade, which was crap. We had ten bucks apiece, and I managed to scrape up three hundred ticket, give or take. I got a set of glow in the dark stars, some army men, and a piece of candy. Then we went back to the hotel for a moment then out to a late dinner. I had steak We came back and went to bed.
Tuesday was pretty cool. Kinda. We got up late, but still managed to make it to the Pioneer's buffet in time. It was alright. Then we let my grandma play keno for a while while we went to the local mall. I got a pair of traaagiiic gloves and almost got a Blob action figure, but it was repulsive, so I didn't. We decided that we'd come see Catwoman at the theatre there later on, but in the meantime we had to go pick up my grandma and watch a free show at the Ramada about Patrioism or something. It was okay, but the exibits after the show were way better. They had war relics and stuff, and I got to talk to a war veteran. It was neat. We went back to the hotel room, changed into something fancy, and went back to the Ramada for dinner at the Presagio, a nubby Italian place. I had pizza that was one of the best in recent times. <3 It matched the quality of Palermo's and Pizza Hut. Went back to the hotel, changed back to normal clothes, and went to see Catwoman, possibly one of the worst movies, comic or otherwise, in the history of the world. I actaully got sick to my stomach watching this, it was so stupid. There was this scene where Halle and her cop friend were playing basketball, and it was so stupid and obviously thrown in there that I felt the need to go to the bathroom to get my head together. There was this part where it started to rain, so Patience ran under a ledge that happened to be filled with flowers, and her cop boyfriend looked at her and smiled, then two seconds later they were having sex. Keep that in mind, girls: Tell your man you hate something, and he will comfort you with sex. We went back to the hotel room and went to bed.
We went to the Ramada's arcade while my mom gambled, and they had an X-Men game!!!!!!!!!111!!!! I succeded in putting my name on all six characters, Nightcrawler, Colossus, Storm, Wolverine, Cyclops, and Dazzler. I even got a picture of myself playing the game, with the cool side-panel art. *sighs* That was a great game... What!? Oh, anyway, we went off to lunch after that, and came back to the hotel room, then went to the Colorado Bell to show everyone else the orangutan, and I got to game some more. I succeded in getting two passcodes to put my name in the DDR database. ^_^ We had Subway for dinner, and went off to bed.
Thursday, Thursday. Thursday was alright, just more gaming. We went across the river to Bullhead, and we went food shopping. Then we got a flat tire. =( We had to get it patched, and that took about an hour. Luckily, I was able to read most of 'The Awakening' then. We went to the Flamingo and I played in the aracade. They were doing a comedy show later that night, so I begged my mom to let me see it. She said I could if I watched Alicia while they went to gamble and stuff. So Mum and grandma went to bingo while I had to stay with my sister in the hotel room. Thank God I only had to do that once. She made the toilet overflow, because I used it then she ran in to blow her nose and (for some reason that escapes me) decided to flush the tissue down the toilet as well. We're staying in some crappy hotel, so of course if you flush the thing more than once in five minutes it's gonna overflow. I managed to clean up the mess and fix the toilet, but not after yelling at my sister. Then when my mom came home, she tried to play like nothing happened and the towels we used to clean the mess magically got wet on their own. Ugh. >.< I gotta stop, this is pissing me off. Mom and I went to the comedy shop, and I got two little plastic swords that came in our drinks. ^__^ There were four acts that I shall relate in this one joke here: "You have a leather wallet? That means you love your girlfriend unconditionally. *audience laughs* No, really. You know why they have velcro wallets, right? *makes velcro noise* Bitch, put it down!!"
Friday was more traveling. Ugh. I got to cash in my tickets before we left, though. Here's what I got altogether:
-(1) Yin/Yang Teddy Bear
-(7) Army Men
-(10) Kazoos
-(1)Blud Dog Plushie
-(2) Slap Bracelets
-(1) Dragon Hat and Arcade Membership card
-(1) Zebra Plushie
-(1) Deck of Playing Cards
I think I did pretty good, all things considered. Most of those things cost over a hundred tickets apiece, so yeah, I think I did alright. The hat alone was over a thousand. We drove back to Barstow, then alllllllll the way up to Bakersfield, and then another hour after that, just so we could visit my drug-addict uncle, but me and Alicia didn't even get to see him. Anyway, we checked in and went to Dennys for dinner, then came back. We had TBS, so I got to watch 'Blade' before I went to bed.
Saturday was pretty okay. Basically, here's a list of what I did:
-End of Blade
-Deep Blue Sea
-The Matrix (Begining, interupted by going to dinner, and then the end)
-Lara Croft: Tomb Raider
-Batman and Robin
-Sleep
On Sunday, we finally got to go home. Although first we packed while I watched the last ten minutes of 'Batman Forever'. Then 'Deep Blue Sea' came on again, so I packed and then took a shower while it played. When I was done, I switched it over to HBO, and we watched SwimFan, which I liked. Then, at one, we went to pick up my grandma. We got there a bit early, so we went into a trailer on the side and I watched the lst half an hour of 'Bruce Almighty'. <3 I love Jim Carrey, I've got to buy that movie. Then Freaky Friday came on, so I told my mom we should go see if grandma was out yet, which she wasn't. We waited for her for about half an hour (I read HP and the Order of the Phoenix), and at 1:45 we drove to the Am/PM and got something to eat. When we came back, my grandma was ready to go, and she was acting like she had been out there since one. We were all angry by then, and we drove on home. We stopped in Clairmont for dinner, Mongolian BBQ. <333333 It was totally delicious, and it was the only Asian food I got that week. We came home and I went to bed after checking my email and worrying about my cat.
