"Nothing gold can stay." Girl, I feel ya. I'm pretty sure we both became un-single and then single again at the same time. Go us. How did yours happen? (Unless that was way too nosy, and if so I'm sorry.)
totally not too nosy, i was just too lazy to type out a long lj entry. long story short: i'm going to grad school in boston come january and he doesn't want a long-term relationship. so basically he wanted to end things now before we got too serious.
it's kind of a lame excuse because he's not even willing to try...but i saw a very rude side of him come out and i'm now glad it's over because i wasn't aware that he was capable of being mean haha.
so i'm just gonna wait till i get to boston to scope out the guy scene and in the meantime enjoy my last semester with my friends :)
Well that's good that you at least saw the "bad" side of him and that you'll be with your friends and stuff. In no way am I trying to like, "top" you or say your situation doesn't suck, but I moved to a totally new area with no friends and I talked to him for comfort and he told me he cheated on me, and now I have no trust in men anymore! Lol. But have fun with the Boston male scene; I'm sure it's fantastic. :-)
yo I should check LJ more than twice a month... I miss the old days when we ranted all the time about our high school drama in the subtext of our LJ entries
( ... )
your judgment unfortunately was wrong (but based on past guys i've dated, i can see where you developed it). he actually spends more time watching college football than sitting on the computer. you can usually find him at a bar by the end of the week with his friends and i think he averages about 3 beers a day....(maybe that's a problem...)
anyway, he wasn't lacking in the social skills by any means. but i think he just freaked out at the fact that it became official i was moving to boston. he's had bad long-distance experiences and just kind of generalized and assumed it wouldn't work out with us. the way he went about ending things was extremely rude though and as a result we don't talk...which is a shame but oh well.
so yea boston will be fun!! i'm super excited and i'll be 21 by then so i can actually go out.
and update your lj more often so i know that you're not dead in an astronomy lab somewhere. <3
