On December 28th, i will begin my return trip to new orleans in m brand new car. My first stop, on the evening of the 28th will be Washington DC, home to about half a dozen completely unrelated acquaintances. Just so you know, I live in the D.C. area now. James Brown at the 9:30 Club!?!?!? Hope I can still get tickets. Anyway, I don't know where I will be on the 28th... Possibly in New Orleans, New York, New Jersey, or some other place starting with "New", with the notable exception of New Mexico; I will not be there.

At the 9:30 Club? Holy carp! If only I were going to be in DC. Of all the times to be home instead of here. Arrrgh.

i think you should forget about whatever you're doing and come hear the godfather of soul. If nothing else, you can hear me yell out the lyrics to cold sweat at the top of my lungs. Any chance of you being in New orleans any time relatively soon?

I'll be in Texas by Dec 17th. Will stop in to Nawlins on my way. If you're gonna stop through DC on your way home, you should gimme a holla. Kent has my number.

As for the 28th, I'm considering being in NYC for that. American Philosophical Association is having a conference the 26th-1st. Might be a good excuse to be in NYC. Plus, I've seen the Godfather of Soul (aka the Crazy Uncle of Funk). But it sure is tempting...

I'm in boston until the 28th, at which point i will be driving back to nola until i figure out what the hell to do with my life. I'm graduating in either august or december, and hopefully have enough credentials to get a job. Where that job is, i dont quite know yet.
