Nothing warms the cockles of an engineer's heart like being told that:

In our experience this product has a 1 in 15 (that's ~7%) chance of spontaneously bursting into flame.

Because that number is either WAY too high or WAY too low (depending on your application).

I love libraries.  They give you books for free, which is lovely when you have complicated relationships with authors.
The downside being, now that I am an adult with a job and no summer vacation, the inevitable confluence when all of my holds arrive on the same weekend, as my library has two week loans on "recent" acquisitions and a three day limit ( Read more... )
