I don't even know where to begin. Tonight was... magical. Marty and I shared something so amazing... So beautiful... I can't even find the words to describe it. ( It changed my life... )

I told my folks about your..."uniqueness", and they (being bacon aficionados) were intrigued. My mom wants to know what temp you baked the lattice at and for how long.
'Fess up! They want the secrets to bacon lattice goodness!

Um, you put the woven bacon into a cold oven, then set it for 400°, and I forgot to time mine, but I want to say I cooked it for like, ten minutes, then rotated it (since most ovens don't heat evenly), and cooked it for another, like, fifteen minutes.
I could be completely off, 'cause you know how when you really want to eat something, it seems to take wayyyy longer to cook than it actually does?
Basically though, I just sat in front of the oven and watched it cook, then took it out when it looked done.
Also, some sites I looked at said to just line a shallow-lipped baking sheet with foil and cook the bacon on that, but it sounds like the bacon would just be sitting all that grease, so we put cookie cooling racks over shallow pans and cooked the bacon on those so all the grease would drip through. ; )
i've obviously missed a lot since i was last online...
bacon lattice is quite an accomplishment and i will be sure to share your pictures with matt once he's home because he is a huge bacon afficionado. perhaps soon i'll be making bacon lattice myself.
yes, your new haircut is nice.
i am sad that i missed my opportunity to make smutty meat handling jokes.

Very interesting. Did you need to prove to Marty that you knew how to handle the meat?
Dig the hair, too.
