The new me.

So, now I'm changing a couple things in my life. One of those things is breakfast. I haven't eaten breakfast (for the most part) since I was 13. For all those counting, that's almost 19 years. The new me decided breakfast gets your day started. A better eating regiment, so on, so forth. So I had a bowl of cereal today. I even had the suggested ( Read more... )

Trying drinking a glass of hot water before you put anything in your stomach - like 20 minutes before. Cereal and milk might not be the best particular choice for you breakfast. Try some toast with almond butter (no butter) instead. :)

My breakfasts are a routine. I either eat toast with an apple and cheese, or a home-made raw muesli of oats, grated apple, yoghurt and nuts. It works for me.

I just took what I had at the time. On the everyday, food disgusts me in the morning. I need to break out of that, I know. I had even had 2 coffees before the breakfast, to keep to my normal routine somewhat. No good, that. Just made the Turkey Raisin toast, and my tummy just went all topsy turvy. I may try the fruit and cheese though...not much of a smell, and fairly light (maybe not the cheese, but still). I think I have to forgo the warm stuffs...

I was told by a physical trainer guy that breakfast is very important, as it gets your metabolism jump-started. He suggested that even something as minor as a glass of milk or some fruit was as good as something bigger.

I ignored breakfast for a long time too... I've tried to fix that in recent years, even if it's just a croissant before running off to work.

See ,that's the reason for starting this breakfast thing. Exactly what the guy told you.
I really like the Oatmeal to go cereal bars, so maybe I'll stick with that for the time being. It's also easier to eat on the bus. At least until I can manage to get food in my system before I leave for work (7 AM)...

I'm not a breakfast person, either. Maybe started with cereal isn't a good plan. Try something way lighter, like a piece of fruit or a slice of toast. Don't worry about having the recommended serving yet -- having two bites is a step up from nothing.

Changing is so hard. I keep trying, and sometimes it works and sometimes it fails. Just ... baby steps.

I'm going to work on it. I would try baby steps, but that never works for me. Because baby steps aren't enough of a change, I revert back to old habits. And I've got a deadline. We so need to talk...

I will take it slow with the breakfast though...there is no point in making myself sick...

I'm running up and down stairs moving things before I get to work, but if I have a slow point at work tonight I'll give you a shout.

I'm also a person that hates eating breakfast and gets an upset stomach, what I've started doing is making myself a shake with just milk or soy milk and strawberries and/or bananas. I've found that cereal in particular makes me especially sick.
