I agree with queso. Please don't take it too seriously, it does sound like a spoiled kid just trying to be funny. Don't let stupid people bring you down.
I get that bananabread is mad and upset right now. But what is she really saying?
queso and kekenu, you both say it's a spoiled brat trying to be funny. I think that bananabread agrees with you. But you both say that it's no big deal and don't let it get to [her]. Whereas that's *exactly* why it's pissing her off.
This person is so spoiled and insulated that while trying to be funny, he doesn't even realize how he is coming off. Some might argue that he *is* aware and is intentionally pushing the envelope, but I suspect not, because it's not funny. (I think it's more likely that he thinks it's funny and is unaware of how this reflects on him, and I think it's less likely that he is aware and still thinks it's funny at that level.)
I think bananabread's coworker who suggests that it's satire is indicating that. But is that what you (queso and kekenu) believe
( ... )
Well, we haven't read what he wrote. Without reading it, we can't guess whether or not he's aware of how he's coming off or how funny he is. It's possible that bananabread finds it unfunny but we might find it hysterical.
I would very much like to get a hold of that newspaper.
WTF are these kids doing anyway, copying paper and handing them around school. Haven't they heard of this thing called the Internet? It's the latest thing. All the cool kids are doing it.

Just sounds like a spoiled rich brat trying to be funny. Not a big deal if you ask me.
