The Princess Bride is still the best book of all time. And not because of the movie part. The first 30 pages of the book, which might think to be an autobiographical forward but is really the first part of the novel, is a shining work of pure genius. Yes, yes, the parts that they put in the movie are pretty good. But the book is hysterically

I read some of the book, but too much of it was like the movie so I got bored and put it down... But I do agree that it is an EXCELLENT story. One of my favorites.

Fine fine fine. When I get back to Boston, I'll take it out of the library, and read more than a random 10 pages in the middle of the book. And considering that I never read anything unrelated to warfare, that should come as a HUGE compliment to you.

Start on page 1, and give it twenty minutes. If it doesn't have you, skip to page 33 and give it twenty minutes. (Page 33 is the first page of "Chapter 1, The Bride.") If it still doesn't get you, then you are released.
