Punchline & BTT part 2

Probably my favorite show ever. It took a little extra to get to the venue, but it was awesome as soon as we got there. We got to the door and were waiting to get in and Belan stopped and said hi and we talked to him for a little bit and Kelsey was like "We saw you on Wednesday!" and he was like "I know! I'm not that stupid." Then Belan left to do stuff and Ryan walked by and was like =D "Hey guys! Good to see you again" and that was cool. So we eventually got inside and they had board games so Joe and I played Connect Four for a little bit. Then I talked to Chris and I had him sign my Punchline CD and we talked about it and how bad and hilarious it is and how Steve just gave him some super old demos from before How To Get Kicked Out Of The Mall. He said he was afraid to let them out because he doesn't want someone to find them and think that's what they sound like now. I'm pretty sure we talked to Belan a little bit again too. I don't know. So anyway, Action Item played and they were just Action Item.

Then Punchline. I love these kids way too much. Apparently Empires was there the previous night, and one of their set lists and picks were still on the stage. Steve went to the bathroom after they soundchecked, so Chris and Belan played a little of Arizona.
-"Nice depressing song to play before a show...song about death..."
-Chris started rapping, but I don't remember anything other than "My name is Chris Fafalios."
-"...so much better than Chris."
"That's me!"
-Chris offered a six dollar refund if people bought Just Say Yes for five dollars and didn't like it.
-"Ames is my favorite place to play the bass."
-Steve wanted to play a mellower song and Chris was like "No, they want to hear a face melter!", then went into the metal band thing.
-"We just want to be your favorite metal band."
-"We've been a band for twelve years. I'm hoping in twelve years from now, we will be an adult contemporary band."
-"We're the adult contemporary of metal."
-Chris was saying how they haven't been to Iowa in a long time and there are lots of cool people here and they said us.
-Wikipedia is their website and someone has been updating it very precisely.
-During The Hit, Chris said it was his dream for everyone to put their fist up and yell hey, so we did.

During Farewell's set, they said something about their myspace, then they asked Steve if that was okay because he's all about wikipedia. Then they needed another guitar, so they asked to use Belan's and Chris was like "YEAH! Use Belan's guitar!" and yelled other random things throughout their set.

Between The Trees gets better every time I see them. They are just so ridiculously good.
-Chris was suuuuuper drunk and was singing on the side.
-Ryan broke a string in the second song, so Ryan asked Jordan if he wanted to teach us the part for the next song and Chris just goes "I love this song! Want me to teach them?!?" so he came out and sang the oh's in Miss You.
-Ryan asked for another guitar, so Chris was like "I got it! You can use one of ours!" and ran off to get Belan's guitar.
-After they played Spain, Chris was like "Man! That's such a short song!"
-Chris told Ryan he loves everything about him.
-Jordan's mancrushes for the tour are Chris and Buddy from Farewell.
-Scarecrow was ridiculously amazing. I don't know what they did differently, but it was seriously so good.
-At the end, everyone was asking for one more song so Ryan came back up and asked what we wanted and asked the guys if they were up for it. So they came out and played You Cry A Tear and the other bands came out for the ahh thing at the end and Jordan had a harmonica solo and it was just super cool.

I believe we went around and talked to all the BTT guys first. Nothing to interesting came up when we were talking to Jeremy, Josh, or Jordan. I was talking to Steve because he just came out, then I went over to Kelsey and Ryan and he gave me a hug and it made me feel awesome. He kept saying how good it was to see us again and he'd try to remember our names for next time. We talked about Amazing You and he said the producer cut it from the CD, but it will probably be a Japanese bonus track. We were talking to him and Chris was throwing CDs to Steve to sell and one hit him right in the face.
We went by Chris and he said it wasn't going very well because he only sold one CD, then said everyone hates them and they were breaking up. Then he said they're never gonna break up.
Steve was surprised that that was only my third time seeing them. He said he's making me buy Justin Oliver's CD. Heart Transplant was written in approximately twenty minutes. Belle Vernon is French for A Beautiful Green, which is his favorite song on Action. Someone was having Steve sign Action, and he was going through the thank you's and editing them because they thanked people multiple times.
Chris came over and talked after he hit Steve in the face. When we were talking to him earlier, I looked over by Steve and Ryan and Steve was on Ryan's back. Chris was super funny. Belan came over while we were talking to him and he went "It's Kelsey and Alison!" and then Chris did it and it was super funny. Kelsey brought up Andre and Chris was like "You know Andre!?!?! I miss him." Then I said something about Duke and he was like "Let me tell you something about Duke...he's gained some weight. He's fat." It was sooooo funny. Somehow the podcast came up and I said I listen to it and he was like "You don't listen to my podcast." then I was like yeah, I kinda do: Richie & the Pierogie, God Bless Jesus and he was like "You do listen to my podcast! I want us to be a Christian band. I like Christian music. I think Jesus would like me if he knew me. Steve, do you think Jesus would like me if he knew me?" Hahaha he was sooo drunk. Chris said he had to go to the bathroom and was like "You're not leaving in the next three minutes, are you?" and we said we would wait for him. Then he came back and he was like "I ran back here! I ran this morning, but then I ate crappy food. I'm getting fat." and lifted up his shirt and was showing off his muscles and stuff. Chris showed us his facebook status on his phone. We were still by Steve and Ryan and we were all talking by the end and Steve told Ryan to sell Just Say Yes for them and he said he would sell them for two dollars. When we were going to leave, Steve asked if we wanted hugs because he had a bad day. Then we went over to Chris to say bye and he was like "I can't say how much it means that you guys show us so much support." and said they would be a band forever and they would still come back in twenty five years and play if we would still come. Belan was over there too and Kelsey said something about him quitting and Chris was like and somehow best wishes came up and Chris was like "No, no best wishes for Belan. He's quitting the band!" Then we got hugs from him, too. It was super fun and I love Punchline more than everything.
