I, too, was startled by the great beyondness. The shores at my end of Nova Scotia face the shores of New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island on either side but at Peggy's Cove, I realized that I could swim and swim and swim and never reach another shore.

Which pleased me greatly. :-)
