Here are the rest of the drabbles. This totally counts as being on time, okay.
Title: A Mitten Short of a Pair
Pairing: Koyama/Massu
Rating: G
A/N: MERRY CHRISTMAS, ZOE 8D
Summary: Koyama knows what it's like to forget things.
Koyama was pretty airheaded most of the time, and so when snow started falling around them and Massu pulled only one glove out of his bag, Koyama empathised rather than criticized. He was certainly the kind of guy who'd walk around with a single glove, having left the other one who-knew-where.
Massu noticed his gaze and smiled shyly, giving an awkward little chuckle.
"I guess I should’ve worn a coat with pockets."
Koyama looked down at his own complete set of gloves, then over at Massu's slightly blue-tinted hand.
When Shige met up with the two of them later to find them both with their hands palm to palm, halfway shoved into the same glove, his face twisted into a tortured expression.
"You're both idiots. I hope you knew that was never going to keep your hands warm."
Massu laughed, looking apologetic, but Koyama just smiled. No matter what Shige thought, he felt inexplicably warm.
Title: Uncharted Territory
Pairing: Shigeaki/Tegoshi
Rating: PG
A/N: For Da
Summary: Shige gets scary at times, but Tegoshi fears nothing.
Shige wasn’t scary. He wasn’t like Massu or Ryo, who, if you really got them angry, we’re probably some of the most terrifying people in the world. Shige complained and bitched and whined and was generally very dry, but no one ever found him particularly threatening.
Except when he was running on a deadline. No one had ever actually approached him during these times, but there was something about the aura he gave off that kept them away. If you squinted at approaching-a-deadline Shige, you could almost see the black clouds and lightning bolts and danger-keep-out signs.
Unless, apparently, you were Tegoshi. Usually, the rest of NEWS were slightly envious of Tegoshi’s inability to read the mood, because it kept him from feeling awkward in awkward situations. Today, as they fearfully watched him approaching the figure of Shige, hunched over his laptop in the corner of their backstage room, typing out an essay that he was meant to have into a magazine in approximately two hours, it felt more like they were watching a small baby approaching a 900 pound polar bear. No one had ever dared to approach Deadline Shige before. It just seemed too risky.
“Take a break,” Tegoshi said, tone innocent and cheerful as he grabbed Shige by the shoulders.
“I’ll break you,” Shige snapped back, but he didn’t seem too vicious and Koyama finally stopped holding his breath (he’d been staring to turn blue).
“No, seriously Shige. You’ve been staring at that screen for the last hour without typing a word. You’ll never get anything done like that. I bet after five minutes away, you’ll be as good as new.”
Shige grumbled some unsavoury words under his breath, but he didn’t struggle when Tegoshi stole his laptop, set it aside, and took him by the hands.
“This’ll raise your productivity,” Tegoshi said as he pulled him to his feet. “I promise. When am I ever wrong?”
Shige chose not to answer, instead directing a sulky glare in the general direction of the rest of their bandmates, as though daring them to make some sort of comment about him slacking off. They all quickly made sure they looked busy, figuring Tegoshi was safe now anyway. After all, if there was any one of them who could enter unknown ground and survive, it was him.
Tegoshi just smiled, seemingly unaware of any danger he may have been in, not loosening his grip on Shige at all. He probably didn’t intend to.
Title: Potential
Pairing: Koyama/Shigeaki
Rating: G
A/N: For
carmine_pinkSummary: Shige sometimes gets tired of his job, but he has something to stick around for.
There had been a few times when Shige had briefly considered calling it quits. He wasn’t a singer or a dancer. He couldn’t do back flips or hit high notes or make girls swoon by fluttering his eyelashes. He wasn’t really, in the purest sense of the term, ‘idol’ material. His talents lay in the arts. He could draw and write, take photographs, and he knew he had a great head on his shoulders.
It was ironic, but sometimes it almost felt like being in a popular debuted group controlled by one of the most powerful agencies in the business was holding him back. It sometimes seemed as though, if he quit, he could have so much more; be so much more.
Sometimes it’s just so tempting, but before he can ever truly begin to contemplate it, Koyama’s there with a joke or an airheaded comment, and Shige knows it just isn’t worth it if the two of them won’t be together. For Koyama, Shige would give up the world. Compared to that, this is nothing.
Title: Touchy Touchy
Pairing: Massu/Tegoshi
Rating: PG-13
A/N: For Yuu
Summary: In which Tegoshi's plans backfire on him for once
NEWS’ Christmas party was, naturally, not held on Christmas. It was hard for all of them to get together at the same time, and even tonight with all the careful planning, Ryo hadn’t been able to show up, and Yamapi had had to leave part way through.
Despite this, it was a good night. It was rare that so many of them were able to gather together and just chat, eat, drink and have a good time.
Speaking of drinking and having a good time, Massu more than anyone had been doing a bit too much of that tonight. Usually he was good about keeping his hands to himself, but Tegoshi had been not-so-subtly encouraging him to have drinks all night, and Massu had been in too high spirits to refuse.
Now, however, his hand was creeping up Tegoshi’s leg under the table, way too close to places he shouldn’t be touching in public, and even Tegoshi was beginning to get a bit nervous.
“Um, Massu,” he muttered under his breath when Koyama and Shige were once again distracted by their pretty waitress, “you do know people can see us, right?”
Massu just smiled his blinding grin and gave Tegoshi’s inner thigh a gentle squeeze. “But they can’t see under the table.”
Tegoshi opened his mouth, then found he had nothing to reply with, and closed it again.
It looked like he had a very long rest of the night ahead of him.
