I was actually going to argue that for my choice...I mean, it's pretty much the only 12+ track album that I can listen to end to end. I fiugred I'd let people voice their opinions first though and then make my decision.
yep. hands down for me. it runs the full on gamet of human emotions. its gorgeous beautiful torture. i was gunna go with the fragile, but as much as i LOVE that album, and it is my favorite NIN album, i can even skip a song on it from time to time. but, TDS is brillant, you can't skip a track on that cd. its blasphemy if you do.
LoL. I guess I'm excommunicated then XD. I can only really listen to maybe 3 tracks...although I was one of those who never got into NIN in the nineties.
Sadly, that album spawned "Pretty Fly (for a White Guy), and therefore is disqualified in my books. Even it's strongest single is weak in comparison to many of the releases of the 90's (with that single being "The Kids Aren't Alright"). While of course singles don't define an album, you'd be REALLY hard pressed to match Americana up song for song with the likes of:
Blood Sugar Sex Magic~RHCP In Utero~Nirvana Freak Show~Silverchair Parklife~Blur (What's the Story) Morning Glory?~Oasis The Colour and the Shape~The Foo Fighters
and even The Offspring's previous release Ixnay on the Hombre, which in mine and I'm sure many other people's opinions was the peak of The Offspring's career.
I suggest you look into a certain song called "Live Forever" in regards to Oasis. It has been judged many as one of, if not the best song ever written period.
On 27 August 2006, Live Forever was named the Greatest Song of all time in music history, in a poll released by Q Magazine. [1] In the November 2006 issue of Q Magazine, celebrating the magazine's 20th anniversary, U2 frontman Bono recognized "Live Forever" as one of six songs that he wished he had written from the last 20 years of music. [2]You'd be hard pressed to top Bono's kudos

Okay, don't totally quote me on this, because there's no way I can always stand by this. I'm sure I could say my favorite, but... One best? It's close to an impossible question. Anyway, I'm going to try to answer it.
Weezer-Pinkerton
Yeah. I'm pretty sure I nailed it as close as I could.
It is a wicked difficult topic, but I think you nailed a pretty good choice. Do you think they can pull things back together after the "Make Believe" debacle and be as cool as they once were if they decide to stay together?
Simply put, no. They can't make good music without Matt Sharp, I believe. There are a few good songs on each album without Matt Sharp, but they're nothing compared to the first two albums. They just don't have the same feel. I think that if Rivers wants to continue with a band, he should not be with Weezer.
