That was classic- one for the ages. Glad I stayed up to see it all! (Charlie Manuel was hilarious to watch in the post game press conference)

Another way the Phils have shown their players are amazing.
Valdez's 0.00 ERA and undefeated record is right up there with Oswalt's 1.000 fielding percentage! LOL

Exactly!
p.s. CSN is showing a rebroadcast now... they are now at the bottom of the 18th.
Valdez may have a Chia pet growing out of his chin, but he has some amazing grit.

Yeah. I had watched some of it a little while ago.
I saw the whole game last night as well. I was actually hoping they were replaying this afternoon's game.
Oh well. :-)

How'd that end up happening?
I really need to be following baseball this year. Maybe my Crockies will make something of themselves but...that remains to be seen.

Game went 19 innings, and the Phillies ran out of pitchers, so Valdez pitched the 19th. He was playing 2nd base until the 19th.
He actually had fairly decent form, and his fastball was in the upper 80's. Of course, that was pretty much his only pitch! LOL
Can't complain, he didn't allow any hits or runs, and the Phillies won. :-)
