Go for it! anonymous July 3 2006, 02:13:48 UTC
Go for what you want. It's not easy - its hard. That's why everyone settles. Because settling is easy. It may be boring, but its more comfortable and simpler. I used college to see another area of the country, but you can use anything - just being in your twenties is a good enough reason! It's easier for me to get around, since I've already covered two corners of the US, and getting married and moving to a point almost equidistant from the two (Oklahoma is closer to PA than OR, but a good ways from both). I think its great to see other locales, especially if your from western PA (no offense). You're right about it being expensive. Save up for a year, then go. My sister stayed at a job she absolutely hated for exactly a year. Now she's teaching in Japan. Why? Because she has the desire and the drive. She wants to travel and she finds the ways. So its really all about what you want in life, not what you have. Go for it! Life will be more exciting and richer and you'll have lots of cool stories when you come home.
