Yeah, I broke up with John McCain earlier this year when he said that he welcomed Karl Rove's political advice. It was a little awkward for a while there, but we've decided to remain friends. (Still voting for Obama, though.)
Palin was really a strange (read: bad) decision on McCain's part. The Daily Show's coverage on it was about perfect, though. ^_^ (As usual)

OMG...*falls over* If I had heard that sound bite at the time, I would never have given McCain as much consideration as I did.

His choice of VP versus Obama's choice for VP is what decided the vote for me. Obama/Biden, all the way! *^__^* (Although I do wish it could have been Clinton/Obama...XD)
The Daily Show is love.XD I wish I could have seen them when they were here taping/broadcasting at the RNC. ^__^
Speaking of political comedy, it's official: Al Franken won the Mn. DFL primary, and is now running against Norm Coleman (a former DFLer turned GOP) for Coleman's Senate seat. Should be a very interesting next few weeks...XD
There's no freaking campaigning anymore. It's all just a tabloid game on both sides of the race, and the "time to run an attack ad" deadline just keeps moving up and up with every election. But they keep doing it, because people keep listening to it and people keep talking about it and people keep basing their votes on it

if I spent too much more time paying attention to the coverage on this spectacle, I think I'd probably throw a mental rod and run away to Sweden.*rueful grin* This is why I've now stopped paying attention to the day to day articles here in the States; the lack of focus on the issues was upsetting me to the point of making me feel physically sick. =P
